TGIN’s Favorite YouTube Natural Hair Vloggers

If you think your styling options are limited with natural hair, think again. Forget about those old school natural styles, that we wouldn’t be caught dead in today. Times have changed and now, there are so many looks to choose from.

If you’re in a minor hair rut, check out Thank God I’m Natural on YouTube, where you’ll find our top 100 videos of women who are already natural, lock’d or transitioning, who will provide you with you step-by-step instructions on how to achieve all of their favorite styles. In this video, Fly Girl gives you the low down on how to achieve this beautiful twist out fro. Not only is her healthy, but this style is gorgeous.

You can subscribe to Thank God I’m Natural’s channel by clicking here. You can either view a listing of all of our favorite videos or click on our playlists to see videos organized by categories (e.g. rod sets/flexi rod sets, wash and go hair, trimming,  twist outs/braids outs,  hair straightening, etc.)

For more hair bloggers, check out these popular channels on you-tube:

PrettyDimples01 is setting youtube on fire with all of her natural hair how to videos. Check out her channel, where you’ll find everything you need to do your own flexi rod sets (my favorite styles), twist outs, flat twists, and twist outs. She also has a public fotki album online at where you can see her rocking different natural hair styles. The great thing about PrettyDimples is that she has tightly coiled hair like me.

BlackOnyx77 – as one reviewer put it, BlackOnyx77’s hair style’s are the business. Her hair growth and progress is also amazing considering she had to do the big chop twice.

CurlyChronicles – has viewers going gaga for her styles, which have major bounce, shine and volume. She’s also known for being extremely patient and willing to take time to address her viewers specific questions concerns.

Glamazini demonstrates the versatility of natural hair in her videos, by offering step-by-step hairstyle guides. She creates a lot of fabulous styles with twists and braids and sometimes gives us a glimpse of her husband’s hair, which is actually quite long. Check her out!

Kimmayis the ultimate “Medium Maintenance Women”.  In addition to offering in depth and easy to understand natural hairstyle tutorials, Kimmay talks food and fashion, and is even kind enough to throw in her tips on achieving Michelle Obama-esque arms. Check her out. You won’t be disappointed.

Rustic Beauty has a major YouTube fan base and has inspired so many black women with kinky hair to go natural. She has also proven that our hair can grow to great lengths when it is given proper care.

Natural Chica –  A recent natural, Mae does fabulous tutorials geared towards women with short hair.  She also has some great videos documenting her transition and Big Chop for those of you who are still on the fence and looking for inspiration.

Richeau, who also goes by Empress Ri, is one of the most highly regarded you tube bloggers. She also gives fantastic product reviews and is a natural when it comes to giving step by step instructions

ItsMissheathernicole is a popular channel dedicated entirely to celebrating the beauty of natural hair.

Scandalous Beauty
provides makeup tutorials and guides, with a sprinkle of hair advice.

Taren916 is our favorite mixed chic (Swedish & Jamacian) on youtube. She has big amazing curls and offers a wealth of information for those of you who are biracial and dealing with the transition or looking for different tips, tricks and products for maintaining curly hair.

DPrincess28, who wears her hair both naturally curly and straight, shares hair stories, tips, and product information with women who embrace their natural hair. DPrincess takes a holistic approach towards beauty and also maintains a blog at http://glorycrown.blogspot.com, where you’ll find hair tips and tutorials, as well as information and videos on makeup, diet, and exercise.

If you’re looking for a protective style, Tiwnkeez2003 is on it and will help you to get your wig game tight.

Chescaleigh offers great tips and tutorials for ladies with locs, and she’s funny as all get out!

Nap85  keeps it simple & fun, while retaining a healthy level of GOoFineSS. Check out her voluminous curls and tips for achieving great natural styles without the use.

This list is a great start, but there’s so much more out there. If you know of someone who is repping for natural hair on you tube, please leave their information in the comments or email me at thankgodimnatural@gmail.com!

Remember, if you’re in a hair rut, variety is the spice of life and with natural hair, you’re never short on seasoning.
