We are looking for bright, talented college students to join our team and fill the following positions. Positions are unpaid, but we will work with students to obtain college credit.  As part of this experience, we promise you will be working along side some of the most talented individuals in law, business, private equity, and consulting. All internships are paid.

Social Media Intern

As our new, virtual, social media intern, you will work from home (or Starbucks(r)) where you will help create and implement a brilliant social media strategy. YOU MUST BE COMPUTER AND INTERNET/SEARCH ENGINE SAVVY TO PERFORM ONLINE RESEARCH AND PROVIDE RECOMMENDATIONS. Also, you should be proactive to the point of being pushy AND comfy in virtually all virtual environments.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist with managing Thank God I’m Natural’s Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr communities
2. Assist with pitching stories to bloggers (early mornings included!)
3. Manage department organizational spreadsheets
4. Brainstorm new ways we can be engaging readers on the web
5. Develop and execute an intern project utilizing social media
6. Assist with moderating comments on the site
7. Provide metrics of traffic statists, reports and blog comment feedback
8. Develop and maintain plan for Internet presence
9. Ability to clearly and concisely present metrics and related comments
10. Assist management in identifying opportunities, based on new internet/blogsphere developments
11. Maintain strong work ethic and organize tasks
12. Troubleshoot and repair bugs and other technical problems

The ideal candidate will be:

1. Experienced and comfortable with Facebook, Twitter, & Tumblr
2. Proficient with Excel
3. A news fanatic – Someone who actively follows all types of news on different media
4. Generally aware of Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
5. Organized, driven, and passionate about the news
6. Crisp, professional writing style that adheres to our brand standards

We are looking to take our online presence to the next level and are searching for a qualified candidate studying Journalism, English, Marketing, Business or Entrepreneurship to help with optimizing our efforts. If you can talk tech about all things interactive, submit your resume to become our new Blog/Online Magazine Intern today!
As our new, intern, you will work from home (or Starbucks(r)) under the guidance of our CEO and Editor and Chief, where you will help create and implement a brilliant online strategy. Also, you should be proactive to the point of being pushy AND comfy in virtually all virtual environments.

Responsibilities:

1. Write stories having to do with nutrition, fitness, health and wellness
2. Assist with managing Thank God I’m Natural’s blog by responding to user comments.
3. Manage contact/relationships with guest bloggers
4. Manage requests for sponsorship/advertising
5. Review metrics of traffic statists, reports and blog comment feedback
6. Troubleshoot and repair bugs and other technical problems

The ideal candidate will be:

1. Experienced and comfortable with WordPress
2. Crisp, professional writing style that adheres to our brand standards
3. Generally aware of Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
4. Organized, driven, and passionate about healthy lifestyles

Operations Intern

As our new, operations intern, you will work directly for the CEO in creating and implementing a brilliant operations strategy. You must be computer and internet/search engine savvy to perform online research and provide recommendations. Also, you should be proactive to the point of being pushy AND comfy in virtually all virtual environments.

Through this internship you will gain all exposure to the different aspects of working for a  startup such as:

- Marketing
– Direct Sales
– Public Relations
– Recruitment and Hiring
– HR and Operations
– Fund-raising

Sample projects:
– Business Plan Writing
– Becoming Familiar with FDA Guidelines for Cosmetics
– Video Production (Providing comments on video reel for national television pitches)
– Legal/trademark infringement cease and desist letters
– Sales/Lead Development

Business Development Intern

The 2012 Business Development will be responsible for performing the day-to-day responsibilities of analyzing data and generating insights with regards to requested analyses as they arise (e.g. market research, valuations, deal research, industry research).  This is an excellent internship if you are interested in pursuing a career in  Business, Consulting, Investment Banking or Entrepreneurship.

Responsibilities:

1. Researching industry and market trends for different consumer goods.
2. Research price trends for commodities (paper, cotton, oil, etc.)
3. Analyze private equity investments
4. Research cost-cutting measures and make recommendations
5. Assist with business plan research

Minimum Qualifications:

- Sophomore, Junior, Senior pursuing an undergraduate degree in a related field:- Finance,   Mathematics,  Statistics, Economics,  Business, Marketing.

- Strong academic track record proven with GPA and SAT Scores

- Advanced Excel skills

- Demonstrate communication, interpersonal, organizational, and teamwork skills

- Execute multiple projects independently and simultaneously

- Generating business recommendations based on in-depth analysis and an understanding of the broader business issues

This is a great opportunity for an individual who is interested in learning about the beauty business in in its outreach to traditional publicity and magazine editorial as well as online marketing and promotions. You must have strong speaking/writing and organizational skills.

• Updated beauty industry contact lists
• Draft and edit product press releases
• Create press kits
• Compose monthly e-newsletters using Constant Contacts
• Conducted market research
• Assisting with celebrity outreach/gifting projects
